I don’t have an ipod, but my be I will buy one after I have read about it, the points that Mc Qaillan made about how podcasting can support second language learning :-
He said that the students who are exposed to a greater quantity of comprehensible language in and out of the classroom have higher levels of language proficiency than the students using different methodologies. He said an ipod make it possible to deliver large quantities of comprehensible language to students in an efficient and convenient manner.
By offering them to move back and forth in the audio and that allow them to listen again to segments they may not have understood. Anther use is to increase or slow down the rate of speech of the input. They can be used to record audio that can then be used for instruction or assessment.
Ipod can use also with anther successful teaching strategy, “narrow listening” narrow listening involves listening to several audio recording on one topic by different speaker of the target language.
I prefer to use I pod for all that mentioned above, I think it is efficient learning gadget I can use it for several domain like speaking listening reading.
